Brief Description:  Flap attach hardware fabricated

I was spoiled with the old Barnard Aviation parts on my first flaps. Nice, pre cut, anodized, pre drilled, pre bent. This kit comes with an aluminum plate and an aluminum angle. You figure out the correct size and configuration. Because you are dealing with the end of the flap spar that has the 1/8 inch sloping angle you cut into it, all mating pieces you see in the picture are not ''square'' cut. Everything is fabricated with different angles. The big pieces below require a bend beginning 7/8" rear from the forward edge. The 063 angle has one tapered edge required. The medium size angles in the bottom of the picture require a sloping parallel cut because of the 1/8 inch slope in the inboard end of the flap spar. The plans mislead you into thinking the height of the parts need to be 3 inches. Nay Nay. The angles involved, and the fact that the inside space on the flap spar cannot take a 3 inch wide piece make you finally realize the height of the two biggest pieces is 2 7/8 inches. Used the rivet spacing tool to mark all #30 holes which you can see were drilled into these new parts. Left to do on these pieces is, match drilling to themselves in final assembly; Dril the furthest hole out to 1/4 inch for the eventual heim bearing attach bolt.
All this gets primed real soon along with the rest of the flap parts which I will prepare tomorrow.
