Brief Description:  Fixing the Canopy flat spot

When I was installing the carbon fiber panel I noticed that the right side canopy did not close completely without a bit of resistance to push the aft end down. This was caused by a slight flat spot in the canopy frame that was touching the avionics panel and not providing sufficient clearance.

Scribed a line on the left side with a block of hardwood and cut out on the bandsaw. I flipped and clamped the corners and then used a center clamp to squeeze up. The first time the clamp squeezed the skin to the wood block. When I released the C Clamp the frame went back to same position.

On the second try, I removed the block and scribed a line 1/8" Back from the original and left about 1" of the ends the same. With this greater bending distance the C Clamp worked like designed and put a gentle curve iwhere the flat spot was.

I reinstalled the panel and the canopy closes without any resistance. One more problem area addressed.
