Decided to add a dual USB charging port in addition to the cigarette lighter plug. Got it the port adpater on Amazon and installed it where the cigarette lighter plugwas and moved the old adapter to the top of the panel.
Bottom port will charge two USB 2.0 devices. With EFB and Ipads I'm sure this will be used more than the other adapter. In case I have some legacy electronics the top plug can be used also. Both devices run on 12V and are pigtailed together on the same accessory circuit.
