Brief Description:  Lower elevator horn hole

Finished priming and pop riveting the last pushrod for the elevator control system. Checked the plans for the final length of the elevator push tubes and set them to the proper finish length then put them aside to work on drilling the bottom elevator horn bolt.

Set the elevator in neutral, trailing position and locked into place with clamps (Pic #1)

Marked the holes per plans and put a straight edge on both sides of the elevator horns. Saw that the pilot side horn was more aft and I used that side to mark the hole (pic #2)

Drilled a #30 pilot hole on the pilot side horn. The gap between the horns was about 3/4" so I cut a piece of wood and drilled a #30 hole to pilot the hole on the other side of the horn. This is critcial that the hole line up straight. (pic #3)
