Brief Description:  VPX Wiring Part 3

Ran the following wiring for the VPX

1) Swapped power pins for SkyView PFD & MFD displays - initial setup was incorrect causing the Right side (MFD) to power up with Master.
2) Crimped and wired power pins for Transponder
3) Crimped and wired power pin for Primer
4) Crimped and wired power pin for SL-40
5) Crimped and wired power pin for Co Detector
6) Crimped and wired power pins for GTN
7) Crimped and wired power pin for SkyView PFD and MFD displays
8) Crimped and wired power pin for Accessory plug
9) Updated VPX firmware to current version 5.1
10) Ran serial pins from VPX to Skyview

While reviewing the Stein schematic I noticed that Stein did not connect the serial TX line for Serial port 1 between both displays for the Transponder. The Skyview manual states clearly that both displays must have their serial ports tied together in parallel. I will have to find the TX wire (Brown / Orange) and connect it to the other display. This is going to be a pain becuase the bundles are tight and I have to find the correct wire and attach.

Moving forward I will add a GPS source from the Garmin GTN650 to the Transponder. This will enable a high integrity GPS signal to be sent to the transponder vs. the Skyview GPS. I will need to update the firmware in the GTN-650 before this will work properly. I alsready updated the firmware on the Skyview transponder.
