Brief Description: Electric Primer mounting configuration
Decided to return tha Andair gascolator and order the stock Vans gascolator after I saw a very simple mounting methof for the electric primer on VAF this week..
Ordered a SS hex reducing bushing 1/4 to 1/8 from McMaster Carr that is used to connect the electric primer diretly to the left side port of the gascolator. This layoug eliminates the need for a firewall shelf to hold the primer and a small 1/16" copper line. The only downside is that if the solenoid fails, Iwill have to remove the gascolator from the firewall as the radius of the primer swing is larger than the distance of the gascolator to the firewall.
Next steps are to mount the engine to the firewall and fuselage and nosewheel. Thinking this will be done over the weekend.
