Brief Description:  Garage Heater vent install

Spend a few more hours coring a hole through the Garage wall to the outside. I sacrificed a 5" hole saw that got burned up going through stucco. The hole saw broke through enough that I finished with a carbide tipped sawzall blade to finish the cut. I was worried that the vent would stick out badly, but from the pictures you can hardly notice that the vent is there from a distance. You can't really see it from the street unless you call it out.

I Installed the Honeywell programmable stat on the external wall of the garage bay just behind the heater. This should ensure that the heater accurately reflects the temp. The Garage is well insulated and without heat is about 20 degrees above ambient outside temperature on average. This should keep gas bills reasonable through the winter heating season.

I turned on the unit and it cycled through the startup phase as best I could tell without having the gas hooked up yet. Final step is to run the gas line and finish this piece of the project. It’s starting to get cool out here with lows in the 40's and garage temp still pretty mild in the low 60's.
