Here we have more interference between the WD-618 Canopy Release Arm and the F-643-1 FWD Fuselage Channel. When the arm is pulled all the war aft to release the canopy, the Canopy Release Arm hits the bottom of the FWD Fuselage Channel. I just used my seaming pliers to slightly bend the Channel Flange upward a bit.
All this interference when installing the Canopy Release mechanism. No wonder some builders have simply replaced this whole mess with 2 bolts.
