My flap actuator weldment was bent just like my rudder peddle weldments. I noticed when I went to locate the center bearing block. It moved for and aft a full 1/32” when I would rotate the weldment just 90 degrees.
Image 1 shows how I set it up to straighten it. I could turn it 360 degrees and watch the space between the bar and fixed straight edge. Each end of the bar is sitting of half of the center bearing block. This way it will turn nicely. Rotating to get the bars bow upward I actually steeped up the step ladder and stood with both feet on the bar and bounced several times.
After a couple of iterations I could rotate the bar 360 degrees while watching the space between the bar and straight edge stay constant.
