Brief Description: Misc fuselage prep while I wait for Stephanie.
Still looking for things to do while I wait for Stephanie to help me buck rivets on the fuselage. I could probably find someone else but I decided long ago she is my only bucking buddy.
Image 1 is a couple F-656 gusset plates. I debured, drilled and dimpled. I only drilled the bulkhead side. I’ll have o wait until the top skin is on to locate and drill the holes through the longerons. Oh, here I show I dimpled all 3 holes that go through the bulkhead. My brother Steve reminded me that these are to be flush and that dimpling the outside hole in the bulkhead is a real bummer. Well, looking at the drawing myself I determined that the outside hole can be universal, not flush, so I flattened the outside dimple on the gusset plate.
Image 2 shows a couple of platenuts installed on the horizontal baggage F-722 baggage bulkhead. These are for the forward F-749 removable baggage side cover. We’ll need a couple of plate nuts on the F-724 baggage bulkhead as well but we need to wait until the cover is installed.
Image 3 shows 3 locations in the F-706 bulkhead that need to be flush on the forward side. These attach the aft side baggage side cover.
