I have hopes that this is my last tank Pro-Seal session. If I don't have leaks then it will be my last for the tanks. This actually was an emotional step to final seal the tanks.
I put 2 beads around the opening. Then used a pointy thing to mix them up together. My hopes was that I had a consistant amount of sealant all the way around. Then just plop the plate in place. I added a pea size bead of sealant to the end of the hex screw before inserting it. Then tightened untill I saw a nice bead squeeze out from under the plate. I also have a nice bead around the screw washer.
Oh, the Vansairforce.net fourms favors not using the cork gasket. So, I didn't. I guess they can degrade over time and wick up fuel. Some builders phone calls to Vans report they also said to not use them. So, why ship them?
Gosh, I hope I don't have hard to fix leaks. I think I'll have leaks.
