Brief Description: Prep leading edge for riveting.
Today Mindy and I
1.) Take leading edges apart. 2.) Strip blue plastic away from rivet lines. 3.) Debured rib holes. 4.) Dimple rib holes. 5.) Smooth skin edges with emery cloth, then scotch pad. 6.) Debured skin holes. 7.) Dimpled skin holes.
Man, this took all day.
I used the DRDT-2 on these skins. The C-Frame did a better on the thicker tank skins.
I also have to admit I'm getting even more anal about removing blue plastic off the rivet lines. I actually measured and marked 3/4 of an inch on ether side of the rivet line before using the soldering iron. I use to do this by eye. Is there a name for whats wrong with me?
