Brief Description: Drill the 9/16" hole through T-405.
Drilling this 9/16" hole through these 3 parts was a bummer. The thickness of the 3 pieces is longerthen the 9/16" step drill. I'll have to drill from one side and then the other.
Image 1 shows the drill press setup for drilling the 9/16" hole on the first side. Drill press vibrated and the hole was ugly while drilling but smoothed out once I got to 9/16" Cool.
Image 2. I moved to the work bench. Put the clecoes on the opposite side and used the drill with the step drill bit to open the hole on the other side. I used this grinder thing to open the hole just a bit more and to smooth it all out.
Image 3 shows the final product of all the rivet and gas line holes. Dreaded job but it all worked out.
