Brief Description:  Mount fuel valve on anchor plate.

The drawing has you make 2 19/32” spacers to mount the fuel valve. First problem was finding the tube to make these spacers. Found it in my bug boxes. I even had a label for it that I made up at inventory time. Good thing too.

Problem – I made the spacers exactly 19/32” long as per drawings. Dang they are to short by slightly less then the thickness of a thin washer. So, I just added a washer to extend the length of the spacer. I had a small problem in that the part of the valve that sits up tight against the anchor plate was not flat. It looked like the valve got smacked on the edge of this flat spot and made it non flat. I sanded it down flat again. It was touchy getting the length of the spacers just right so that the flat part of the valve sits flush against the anchor plate. Patience and you will prevail.

The nuts are temporary here. Ultimately they will be castle nuts.

Interesting the design of this valve in how it mated to the anchor plate. The valve will have left and right but not off. The handle is the pointer so the pointer that exists can be sanded off.
