Brief Description:  Prep Baggge Area Bulkheads. Part 1.

These guys are next now that the forward end is taken apart and prepped. I did the usual, de-blue and edge finish. I’ve said it before but I like to finish the edges first thing right off the bat.

The horizontal bulkhead had the forward mini flange already drilled and suffers horrible edge distance problems. I guess they meant to do that so I’m going with it.

The vertical bulkhead has a flange on top that gets two holes drilled through it. They are matched drilled through the bottom skin. Any way, this mini flange does not reach the skin because the skin is raised up due to the fact that my conical bend is not sharp enough. You can see it in image 2. What to do. Bend the tab up and hope for a proper fit when riveted? Put a sharper bend in the curve and hope I don’t crack the skin? I’ll try to bend the skin a bit more later on when I disassemble it. For now I will not drill the top flange through the skin.
