Brief Description:  Floor Stiffeners - Drill 601 angle, Part 2.

I didn’t have to use the angle drill. Yea. Pictures are self explanatory. Match drilled the stiffener through the heavy angle. Then match drilled the top stiffener flange through the firewall angle. I drilled this firewall angle a long time ago when I first fit the firewall. At that time I drilled 4 holes along the top even though the plans didn’t mention it. Glad I did, I needed that hole to match drill the stiffener.

Oh, you better still put the center line down the stiffener because it will want to shift when you drill the flange. The center of these inner stiffeners is not the center of the stiffener. The center, where the holes will end up, is dictated when you clamped the inner stiffener to the firewall angle and bulkhead. So I drew a line based on that. It’s close to the edge, not centered at all.
