I decided to measure the location for these holes with the ruder pedals mounted in the fuselage, not on the bench. I was worried that if I measured it on the bench that the end bearing blocks would not have the correct angle relative to each other, resulting in hole locations that are off. I used the stubby #12 bit to scribe an arc on the bracket.
I decided to drill these holes a little differently. If these holes are even a small amount off then the pedals will not be in the same plain. So, I matched drilled them through a scrap piece of 1/8” aluminum bar. Wow. Worked great and was fast.
