Brief Description: Drill pilot holes through F-717 and lower Longeron
I located the holes on the weld mont and then drilled a #40 pilot hole. Then I clamped the lower longeron in place and drilled it from underneath through the weld mont using my angle drill. This procedure has assured me that the weld mont holes are where I want them.
Shown is 3 clamps holding the top of the longeron against the weld mont. Not shown but very important is a clamp holding the sides of the two together.
