Here is the end result of my side skin tab bend. I actually dimpled the tab to see how well the two skins sit flush. They didn’t at all because my bend procedure created a small bend along the rivet line. Had to work out that bend and the end result is OK but it would have been better if I had followed the pictures showing the procedure at the end of the fuselage plans.
I may want to work it a bit more later on. I can make it better but the question is “To what length and time I’m I willing to go through to get a bend I’m happy with and proud of?”. An additional hour? 2 hours? 8 hours. I could buy new skins?.
