Brief Description:  Center Section - Dimple away

The one potential gotcha in the dimpling would be the outside most holes on the forward side of the bottom skin. Vans has a little plup about these holes in the FAQ section. They say the last 5 outside holes need to be double flush. Well, I wanted to know why so I got out the landing gear weld Mont and put it in place. These rivets do NOT need to be double flush, but they do need to be counter sunk, NOT dimpled. There is enough room between the spar flange and weld Mont to support a normal shop head. In fact, lots of room on the outside most hole. That last outside hole could be dimpled. I however counter sunk all 5.

Counter sinking these outside 5 holes should have been done back when I counter sunk the other 4 single holes in this same rivet line.

Oh, the only holes in the bottom skin that I did not dimple are the aft most 2 rows. However, on the second row I did dimple the hole under the baggage rib mini flange.
