Simple small task here. The 705D side buckhead channels get a tooling hole expanded to 5/8" to except a SB625-7 Snap Bushing. No measureing, just expand the tooling hole.
Any hole diameter larger then 1/2" I like to use 2 different step drills. The first only expands to 1/2" but has small increments and thus seems to be less violent while cutting. Then I switch to a larger step drill to do the last 2 steps to 5/8" .
I draw cross hairs on the center of the hole so that I can see if the resulting hole has been drilled where I intended it to be.
