Brief Description: F-705 BH - Drill 634 Seat belt Anchors
More drilling on the 705A today. Time to drill the 634 seat belt mounts to the 705A. These guys are steel and made me a bit nervious to drill. For me it's harder to get holes where you want on steel.
The drawings say to drill one and then clamp both to the 705A and match drill the other through the 705A. Not me. Heck no. I'll never get the first hole where I want it. I'll match drill both of them.
In image 1 you can see I clamped both together with a 3/16" spacer. I screwed up a couple of parts earlier and in anticipation of needing a 3/16" spacer I ordered some 3/16" aluminum bar with the parts I messed up. I bolted the 2 halves together to assure alignment.
You can mark the bottem of the 634's to help in alaignment to the 705A.
Clamp and drill using a #12 bit. I used lots of Boe Lube. Again, I love these clamps my brother Steve gave me. I need to find more.
