Brief Description: F-704 BH - Rivet 783B cover support ribs.
Time to rivet the cover support ribs (783B's) to the center section main spar. easy work here in that I just used the C-Frame as I did with the 704C uprights. One problem however. The bottom of the 783B sits farther away from the main spar. The under side of the C-Frame extension (about 2") was to short. I don't have a picture but I added 4 washers on the bottom of the C-Frame extension. Two between the frame and 2" extension and two between the extension and the cupped rivet set. I really like riveting this way. It's brainless and you get perfect results.
Working on these center section main wing spars is a bit stressfull in that thay have been matched drilled to the wing spars at the Van's factory. I would really hate to mess one of these up.
Funny thing is that I almost sold my C-Frame after I bought the R2D2 I mean DRDT-2. It has come in handy lately. It's a tool I'll keep.
