Brief Description: Firewall - Rivet firewall. Part 4.
This log entry simply shows all the #30 rivets that will be back riveted. I have gold #30 clecoes in the holes left to do. There're not that many. All we have is the top row, a few on each engine mount and a few on the 601J angles.
The outside 2 rivets on the bottom engine mount required the 12" straight rivet set. You can see these 2 rivet locations in image 2. On the bottom right, right most 2 rivets. The engine mount is in the way and the normal short back rivet set is too short. I suppose you could forward buck them. I just used the 12" straight set back rivet set.
I did all of these #30 rivets except the 4 in the radius of the 601J angles. These 4 require special attention. So, up until now all rivets are set with the exception of the 4 in the 601J angle radius. And, all rivets are good.
