Brief Description: Rivet Aileron hinge brackets to rear spar.
Used both the squeezer and normal bucking to get these guys on. Not hard but took a while. I hate badly set rivets. Also riveted on the flap seal. You know the drill. Match drill, debur, rivet.
I actually moved the wing from the cradle to the table solo. Grunted a bit.
Here is something I would do different if I could. The flap seal rivets to the main wing skin. The mistake was to dimple the holes in the skin with the pneumatic squeezer. The dimples are under dimpled and look like crap. The whole wing is smooth but this one row of rivets are under dimpled and have that indentation look. I think I could have used the DRDT-2 instead.
So, whats up with my pneumatic squeezer doing a poor job on dimpling? I need to investigate this.
Oh, this is a mile stone. This is the last thing I needed to do before I start the flaps. Working on the flap will be cool because if I mess up I just have to rebuild a flap where as if I mess up the wing I would have to build a new wing. So, working on the flap should be fun.
