Brief Description: Cleco elevator counter weight housing.
Cleco elevator counter weight housing.. I clamped them to the bench to drill the top holes that go through the counter weights. The drill bit goes through the outside skin, through the counter weight and then a rib flange. Care must be taken to drill the hole straight so that you come out the rib in the proper location. I built a small straight edge thingie that helped align the drill bit.
Go slow! once the bit goes though the outside skin it wants to screw into the lead. Drill slow. don't go fast.
