Getting the surface of the rudder stop that contacts the rudder took time. Trim little by little. The idea is to get the surface so that it provides the proper rudder travel, and when it contacts, it contacts flush. The plans call out a distance of 1 1/8” between rudder and elevator. As seen here I made 2 - 1 3/16 “ blocks. 1/16” over size. What the heck. The rudder will flex that last 1/16 of an inch.
I'm glad I took my time here. I've got perfect rudder travel and a good precise stop.
