Brief Description: Elevator push tube. Prime and rivet.
I did as the plans suggested by priming the inside of the tube. I taped one end closed, poured in about a cup of primer, taped the other end closed and shook it all about. Drain and let hang a few minutes. Then put it horizontal on the bench to dry over night. Can you believe it, primer was still wet inside after letting it sit over night. I hooked up my summer fan to blow through it and in about an hour it was dry. Then I primed the outside.
I used my Harbor Freight pneumatic puller when ever I can. You can see it here in image 2. It works great except it loves to spit oil some where from around the trigger with every pull. So, I wrapped a few paper towels around it to keep the oil off the part I’m riveting.
