Brief Description:  Elevator push tube, Mark and Drill ends.

It was nice having a simple task of preparing the elevator push tube after drilling critical holes for the mounting of the elevator.

My brother Steve talked me into this hole spacing fan. Glad he did. it’s a helpful tool.
Using a strip of paper the length of the push tube circumference you lay out 8 evenly spaced holes. You actually use 9 holes on the fan. Spread the fan so that the end of the paper is in the center of first and ninth hole. Then just move the fan over off the edge a bit and mark.
The sucker is huge, 1.5” diameter tube.

Tape it back on and mark your hole locations 0.25” from the end. I clamped a fence on the drill press table 0.75” from the center of the drill bit. This way I’ll be drilling straight through the wall of the tube.
