So, attaching the elevators can be a bit bumbling. Its like you need 3 hands. Here is what made it easy for me.
Having the elevators tilted down gives you more access to the 4 attach rod end bearings. So, I put a blanket on a 2x6 longer then the HS laying on the table. The trailing end of the HS is raised up. The leading edge of the elevators will also be raised up exposing the hinges. Also, the 2x6 is longer then the HS so the counter weight arms rest on it while both my hands are putting in the Avery temporary pins or bolts. Attaching the elevators with this setup was fast and not bumbling at all. Fast, easy, safe from potential damage.
