Began the evening by fabricating the Aft canopy track assembly. Layed out the rivet / bolt locations. Drilled / Counter sunk / rivet the track together. Clamped the track in place, and installed the canopy frame, and began the process of aligning the canopy frame to the fuselage and rollbar.
Tweaked and measured everything about 50 times, the clearances look really good now. Sometimes you have to say 1/32 - 1/16 is good enough, or you drive yourself crazy. The canopy frame is riding about 1/8" high where it meets the rollbar. Which is ok for now, I have some room for adjusting it down as I fit the canopy itself.
Pilot drilled the channel tracks, they are parallel at 40-13/16" and the canopy will open and close with one finger of pressure at the center latch point. I am sure that will change when I add the weight of the clear canopy.
I will installed the aft top skin tomorrow, and get the track pilot drilled. I don't want to installed the aft skin permenantly until I have my avionics tray / bracing installed... So far, So good... Still thinking about the design.
