Aligned actuator motor in channel then riveted angle bracket inside channel. Mounted assy in airplane and it would not align with flap weldment.... urrrggg!!! Discovered that flap weldment is centered in the tunnel, which means the actuator motor attachment end must be centered in the channel, even though the top end is offset. Had to drill out the angle bracket, fab a second one, then clamped it into place with the motor attached to the weldment. This gave proper alignment then could rivet new bracket into place.
Don't mount motor this way, straight down the channel!!
Motor bracket c-clamped in place before match drilling to channel
Proper motor alignment, with rod end in center of channel
