Brief Description:  Fabricate Oil Cooler Support Brackets / Rod

I purchased a short piece of aluminum hex rod with tapped female threads on each end along with a couple of eye bolts. One end has reverse threads. These will be used to provide additional support for the top of the baffles that the oil cooler is mounted to and hopefully prevent any cracking of the baffles. To mount the rod I made a small angle bracket that is screwed to the hole in the engine block between the #2 and #4 cylinders and then fabricated another bracket that will be riveted to the top of the part 5 and part 6 baffles. This will allow me to tighten the rod with a crescent wrench and pull the top of the baffles tight up against the #4 cylinder and prevent any movement of the oil cooler and the baffles it's mounted to once the baffles and oil cooler are installed permanently.
