Brief Description:  Install Manifold Pressure Line

My final task for today was to install the manifold pressure line. The manifold pressure is usually taken off the lower port on cylinder 3 but I will be installing a primer system on all 4 cylinders using the lower ports. Usually the upper ports are used for fuel injection systems but I've checked with several engine shops and everyone said it was fine to pull the manifold pressure from the top port and to use all of the lower ports for primer. Usually the primer system is only routed to 2 or 3 cylinders but I decided to go with all 4. I'll have an electric valve coming off the gascolator that can be used to run the engine using the electric fuel pump to limp back to an airport if there is ever any problems with the carburetor. It will serve as a crude backup fuel injection system in addition to a primer system.

Anyway, I installed a 45 degree AN fitting on the upper cylinder 3 head, then attached the Aeroquip hose that Van's supplied in the firewall forward kit. I decided to move the location of the bulkhead fitting to the top right center of the firewall to be more convenient for both the hose routing and the interior cabin plumbing. I used high-temp RTV sealant around the bulkhead fitting.
