I purchase a cover for the mechanical tach drive from Avery Tools since the Dynon EMS will pull the RPM's from the P-leads on the Mags. The cover is actually a 2 piece unit for some reason. The end cap has a hole for safety wire but this doesn't prevent the threaded sleeve from loosening up. The only thing the safety wire would do is prevent the tach cover from getting lost. It would just dangle from the safety wire instead. Strange setup. Anyway, I used Loctite on the threads and safety wired the end cap to the oil filter safety wire hole.
