Since I will be using electric trim, the plans specify that the front tab of the fuel selector plate can be removed. This is a fairly hefty plate so any weight savings here is good. I removed the tab, countersunk for the nutplates, deburred and edge prepped everything, and then riveted the nutplates to the plate. I then clecoed the fuel selector plate to the center section. The final thing I did today was mark and drill the F982E access plate for the throttle, carb heat, and mixture cables.
