Brief Description: Install Nutplates on F706 for Rear Wall
Once the F706 bulkhead was match-drilled to the rear baggage wall I removed the wall panels. I then used a nutplate jig to drill all of the rivet holes for the F706 nutplates. I then deburred, dimpled, and riveted the nutplates to the bulkhead. I really like dimpling the nutplates themselves and not messing with countersinking thin material. Just debur, dimple, and rivet. Easy. Once all of the nutplates were installed I started doing the prep work on the rear baggage walls and side covers. I removed the plastic along the edges and along rivet lines. I was able to debur, dimple, and install all of the nutplates on the top and bottom wall panels before calling it a day.
