Brief Description: Left Step: Mark and Drill the Plate
Once the step plate was sitting flush against the side skin, I marked the location of the bulkhead on the plate. This will be the main set of holes securing the step plate to the side skin. Once this row of rivets was marked I measured the location of the other rows. Each hole was then center punched, drilled, and deburred. The plans call out for 5 rows of rivets. These couldn't be evenly spaced though because of the fixed location of the bulkhead row. I thought about using 6 rows of holes instead to more evenly align everything but in the end I just went with the 5 rows and will have to live with the assymetry.
