Brief Description: Left Step: Enlarge Hole in Side Skin
In trial fitting the side steps it became apparent that the holes in the side skins were too small. They were fine as far as accommodating the tube that is inserted into the fuselage. However, the plate must sit flush against the skin and this wasn't happening because of the weld fillet between the plate and the tube. The hole in the side skin needed to be enlarged to accommodate the weld. So,,,I pulled out my circle template and marked a larger hole and went to town with a sanding drum in the dremel.
