Brief Description:  F705 Bulkhead: Bend/Drill Top Parts

I ended up getting another larger piece of angle and clamping it to top half of the plate that was already clamped between the two other pieces of angle that were in the vice. I then pushed, hammered, grunted, and beat the 4 degree bend into each top 0.040 top plate. Not easy. Makes me appreciate the force that it took to form the bends in each part in my kit. Once these bends were done it was time to start clamping and drilling everything. The first thing that I did was measure where the row of #30 rivets go on the 2 top angles and then used my rivet fan to evenly space the 9 holes. Once the 2 angles were drilled I moved on to the shims. A centerline was marked on the shims and then these were clamped to the top channel such that this line was showing in each of the prepunched holes in the channel. I clamped the shims as tightly as I could and match drilled these to the #40 holes in the channel.
