Brief Description:  Center Section: Countersink Bars and Web

Once the side sections were match drilled to forward and aft center section spars, everything was taken apart. It was a challenge getting the bolts out of these close tolerance holes. The next thing that I did was countersink the 2 aluminum bars that will get riveted and bolted to the web of each end of the aft bulkead. These will be riveted in place with AN426 3-14 rivets. I think these will be the longest rivets I have worked with to date. I also noticed from the plans that on the forward center section, the web stiffeners are on the aft side of the bulkhead directly behind the cover brackets which mount on the forward side of the bulkhead. This requires that the web stiffeners get riveted to the spar with flush rivets so I had to go back and countersink the web for this.
