Brief Description: Center Section: Debur/Rivet Stiffeners
The next thing that I did was debur all of the center section parts. I then decided to experiment with the C-Frame tool to try and rivet the web stiffeners to the spars. This worked out very well for the rivets that were in the center if each stiffener. The C-Frame tool with a flat set and the rivet gun does a nice job and is very easy to use. The shop heads come out very nice. However, due to the width of the base of the C-Frame itself, I couldn't set the rivets that were close to the bar flanges. I need a short extension set for lower part of the tool to do this. I ended up using my back riveting set free-hand so to speak. I had to remove the plastic sleeve and spring from the set in order to set the rivets right next to the bar flanges without dinging the bars. This also worked out very well. It's much easier to see how well the shop heads are forming without having the sleeve in the way.
