I used a soldering iron to melt the plastic along the lines of holes on the skins and then peeled the plastic off from these areas. I wanted to keep as much of the plastic on for as long as possible to protect the skins from scratches. Once the plastic was removed, all of the holes in the skins were deburred using the hand deburring tool.
