Brief Description:  Drill Rear Spar Components

I spent this evening drilling all of the rear spar components using the pre-punched holes in the rear spar itself as a template. I then drilled a #30 hole in the reinforcement plates that covered the already formed oblong holes for the Aileron pushrods. I then used a Unibit to enlarge these holes to remove most of the material. Then it was on to the Dremel tool with a cutting bit (looks like a drill bit without a tip) to trace the outline of the hole, and finally a sanding bit to polish and debur the edges. The reinforcement plates now have holes for the Aileron pushrods that match perfectly the pre-punched holes in the spars. Once this was done, I deburred the holes along the top flanges next to the reinforcement forks for just the length of these forks and then dimpled these holes. Good thing the manual says to do this now since I would never have thought to do this before riveting on the reinforcement plates. Once these reinforcement plates are riveted to the spars, there will be no way to get a dimple die into the holes along the corresponding flanges to dimple these for the skins.
