Brief Description:  Prime Vertical Stabilizer Tip; Rage/Sand Rudder

Today I did a little final sanding of the vertical stabilizer tip. There were still some small pinholes even in the Evercoat Rage filler. I bought a quart of Loehle Wonder-Fil and used this to fill in all of the pinholes. The stuff is great! It has a consistency like Turtle-wax that you would use on your car. You just rub it on with a circular motion using a rag or paper towel, wait 5 minutes or so until it dries out and turns white, and then wipe it off with another rag or paper towel. And the best part is that you don't have to sand the part again before priming it! So,,,with the pinholes out of the way I was finally, finally, finally ready to prime. I masked everything that I didn't want painted, rehung the plastic for the paint booth, and primed the vertical stabilizer tip with SW 988 primer. It looks SO nice now that it is one-color! The transition between fiberglass and aluminum is imperceptible except for my highly sensitive builder's eye! :-)Next, I mixed up some Evercoat Rage and frosted up the left side of the rudder tips, waited a few minutes and started sanding. I love all of these products that dry so quickly! The right side is ready for Loehle Wonder-Fil and primer,,,onto the left side...
