Brief Description: Attach 48" Wire to Outboard Capac. Plate
I spent some more time today deburring fuel tank parts. Then I fiddled around with attaching a wire terminal to a 48" piece of 18 gauge wire. The plans call for this connection to be crimped and soldered for added durability. I had some trouble with the soldering and destroyed a couple of wire terminals. I finally ended up just fluxing the terminal and wire, crimping the terminal to secure the wire, and then just melting a couple of drops of solder into the assembly. My soldering iron didn't heat up the wire and terminal enough to melt the solder by just touching the solder to the wire or terminal.
