Brief Description: Wire Carb Temp Sensor to Dynon EMS
Today I wired up the carb temp sensor. One wire from the sensor was connected to a ground wire from the EMS unit with a butt splice. The other wire from the sensor had to be connected to the purple/blue wire from the EMS as well as to the red/white +5v excitation wire with a 1k ohm resistor. I wasn't quite sure how to hook up the resistor. I ended up crimping one end to a butt splice from the red/white +5v excitation wire and the other end to a butt splice that also included the purple/blue wire from the EMS and heat shrinking over the resistor. I think these connections will hold up well since they will be bundled up with a ton of other wires.
One carb temp wire connects to ground, the other to the purple/blue wire and the +5v red/white excite
