Brief Description: Installed upper and lower elevator horns
Fairly straightforward installation process of the upper and lower elevator horns, doubler, angle and standard Ls. Anyone who has completed this part can probably spot my extra rivet. I have five through the top L angle (a bit of overkill, for sure). That's what you get for drilling accidental smudges and not your measured marks. Oh well. All in all, I'm quite pleased...and very impressed with the rigidity of the horn assembly. It will really be secure once I replace my clecoes with A5 rivets. I stopped short of cutting out the rudder clearance area for fear that I had gone too long already and might make a mistake. There'll be time for that tomorrow.
