Brief Description: Cleaned, primed and riveted stabilizer skeleton
Cleaned and primed just mating surfaces of the parts. Clecoed everything together and riveted the structure. The order of the riveting around the front spar attachment & doublers is important. On one I started with all the rivets into the spar, then the rivets holding the two parts together. That worked fine. If you reverse any part of that, the rivets holding the two parts together interfere with spar rivets on the attachment doubler. Learning this gave me my first opportunity to drill out a couple of rivets. No big deal. After all the rivets were in, I went back and cleaned & primed all surfaces except the edges of flanges where I'll need to mark in the next steps. I also left the rear spar clean so I can just polish that when the time comes.

Completing the priming
The skeleton finally held together with rivets and not clecoes.
