Brief Description: Made Horizontal Stabilizer Rear Spar
Completed the stabilizer rear spar (6T1-4) from .040" 6061-T6 aluminum. Due to the length of the brake and the thickness of the material, I used a thin strip of 3/4" MDF between the bending plate and the metal to increase or decrease the amount of bending force along the part. Because the strip of MDF was fairly flexible, I pushed it closer to the hinge along the sections that needed more bend, and of course pulled it up and away from the hinge to lessen the force. This seemed to work quite well.
